Regular Season Round 26: Decin - Zalgiris 74-106

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked CzechDecin (6-2) was smashed by twelfth ranked Lithuanian Zalgiris (6-2) 106-74 on Sunday. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Zalgiris outrebounded Decin 44-26 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zalgiris looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Eimantas Kuprys notched 22 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Adas Adomenas supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 12 points and 5 assists by Marek Houska did not help to save the game for Decin . Forward Matej Buben (199-2009) added 11 points for Zalgiris . The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris have an impressive six-game winning streak. Despite that victory Zalgiris went down to twenty sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Krakow and Decin.
